This Week: The BALADI Technique

Tonight is part of our free series on the BALADI Technique. BALADI stands for: Breathe, Appreciate, Label, Allow, Disidentify, and Investigate. BALADI is actually six mindfulness practices contained in one convenient, portable, memorable package.

For the months of January and February, the School of Love will go into the details of how to use each step in the BALADI practice to help you live with more love, wisdom, courage, and joy. Download this handout for or an overview of the BALADI Technique.

Feel free to join us at any point in the program series. The information from each class will be helpful and relevant to you, even if you have not attended the previous classes.

About the School of Love

At the School of Love we learn, study, and practice love so we can embody love in our daily lives. To embody love means to embody kindness, peace, wisdom, courage, joy, and many other beautiful qualities.

Each class includes a 30-minute meditation and a talk, discussion, or activity that will help you connect with your inner love.

About the Boundless Love Project

We work to create a global Beloved Community where all humans, animals, and ecosystems thrive. To this end, we work to embody Beloved Community as we promote mindfulness, principled nonviolence, and social justice for all life forms.

We promote the universal values of love, truth, and joyful service, which allows you to use our teachings as a supplement to help you go deeper into whatever wisdom tradition you currently belong to.

Our teachings aim to be inclusive, nonsectarian, welcoming, affirming, and intertraditional. Being intertraditional means that we value and honor all wisdom traditions, whether they be secular, spiritual, or religious, and we welcome people from all wisdom traditions. We aim to be a community where atheists, humanists, and people of all faiths can practice mindfulness together in harmony.
