Meditation helps decrease stress, anxiety, worry, anger, and depression while improving health, productivity, happiness and inner peace. Learn three complimentary meditation techniques and receive guidance on when to use each one, so you may enjoy these benefits. The workshop is not affiliated with any religious tradition and all are welcome to attend.
We offer this workshop in partnership with the District 196 Community Education Program and thank them for generously allowing us to use their facilities, and for printing the handouts for free.
How to Register
Please register for the workshop at the District 196 Community Education Website. This will ensure you we have enough handouts and space for all who attend.
More Details About the Class
The workshop will be three series of short talks designed to help you get the most out of meditation, brief instructions, guided meditations, time for questions, and short activities.
The workshop will take place in a classroom environment. You will be sitting in chairs at desks. Please bring cushions, blankets, or whatever you think necessary to be comfortable in this setting. We will have regular movement or bathroom breaks.
If you prefer to meditate on the floor instead of in a chair, you are invited to bring your own meditation cushions, yoga mats, blankets, or other whatever else you think will work.
