More Details About the Trainings
At the Mindful Direct Action Training you will learn how to support and participate in mindful direct actions and protests.
What does it look like to answer social and environmental injustices with mindful and loving direct action? How can we nurture an atmosphere of centered, purposeful focus, and compassion for all during rallies and protests? In these turbulent times we are called to act in the rich tradition of nonviolent protest to protect the people, animals, and ecosystems we love.
Join us for an introductory training of the skills needed to remain grounded while defending those we love. This nonsectarian training will provide helpful frames and concepts for understanding nonviolent conflict, mindfulness techniques, and de-escalation skills that will help you organize powerful and effective direct actions.
These events are free and open to the public. Everyone over the age of 14 is encouraged to attend.
These nonsectarian trainings are organized cooperatively between the hosting organization, Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light, and the Boundless Love Project. People of all faiths and those of none are all welcome to attend.
